Who we are
Seniors and Solo Traveller Stories is an independent publication based in Victoria, Australia, written for travellers over 60 — couples, friends-groups and solo travellers alike. We are not a travel agency, we sell nothing, and we take no commissions, sponsorships or paid placements.
How guides are produced
Guides are produced editorially with research assistance from AI tools, then checked against operator websites, government sources and current pricing before publication. Perspective labels on each guide (a solo traveller's perspective, a couple's perspective) describe the lens the guide is written through, not a named individual — we do not invent people, bylines or credentials.
Every price is stated in Australian dollars and dated by the guide's publication date. Prices change; we say so on every page, and we link the operator so readers can confirm.
What we refuse to do
No fabricated ratings, review counts or 'trusted by thousands' claims. No fake urgency or countdown pressure. No affiliate links dressed up as recommendations. No sponsored content of any kind. Where a booking platform is linked, it is linked because it is useful, and the link earns us nothing.
Community content
Where a guide includes comments or discussion from public communities such as Reddit or our own Facebook page, quotes are short, attributed, and linked to the original thread. We select for usefulness to over-60 travellers and remove anything we cannot verify or that names private individuals.
Corrections
If a price, timetable or accessibility detail is wrong, we want to fix it. Tell us through the contact page or on our Facebook page, and corrections are made directly to the affected guide. Substantive corrections update the guide's modified date.
